While Marijuana, when mixed with a very good hair cream like ours, will blow your beard hair out of proportions, the question about whether smoking marijuana can help improve beard growth still remains unanswered, and I am here to do justice to that.
I have quite a number of friends who have had things to do with Marijuana in the past, and what I have noticed is how bushy, thicker and well-groomed their beards were.
Well, this is not to confirm entirely that Marijuana made their beard grow that much, but of course they never really engaged in exercises that could boost their testosterone level that high.
So, one can assume that smoking marijuana helped their testosterone somewhat.
You may not seem to agree with me, so let us get into the details of it.
Does Smoking Weed Make You Grow Facial Hair
It is important that you note that whatever helps you balance your level of testosterone, will affect the growth of your facial hair positively. Whatever at all, Weed, Marijuana, Tobacco, can push estrogen so much in the body.
While this may not be much as compared to other healthy lifestyles like exercising and eating good food that will promote beard growth, the trace amount of improved testosterone and estrogen will definitely improve beard growth.
In fact, I have had a couple of people tell me that most people who engage in smoking marijuana have tremendous facial and body hair, but the truth is, without traces of testosterone in the body, facial hair growth won’t happen.
This is not to advise you to engage in smoking marijuana as you know that smoking marijuana for too long has its own adverse effects, I’ll advise that you engage in healthier lifestyle like exercising, eating the right food, weight training etc.
Let’s get into the scientific details of how smoking marijuana helps hair growth

Category 1 person smoking weed
Marijuana can be associated with a faster rate of metabolism, which means that marijuana can help increase your body metabolic rate. This further states that marijuana can help you digest, and usually when this happens, it helps speed up other growth in your body; hair inclusive.
A side effect of this, however, is that you age quickly. So, while you smoke your pot or weed, ensure to leverage antioxidants, herbs, take in lots of green vegetables and drink as much water as possible. This will aid in the protection of your body against ageing as you continue to smoke your pot.
Marijuana can help to increase estrogen levels. Whenever this happens, there will always be an increase in the growth of human facial and body hair. The issue with increasing estrogen levels is that it affects health physically as well.
Increased estrogen in men can cause hair loss which is known as alopecia or baldness. So, it is important to note that while you smoke your weed, be careful enough to notice traces of side effects as they come.
Category 2 person smoking weed
The frequent use of marijuana most definitely has its side effects. When you smoke weed once in a while, you can get away with many things but not when you smoke frequently, you may land n serious health troubles. For example, smoking weed may lead to a slow down in the production of hair follicles and stress. All of these are major pointers to loss of hair.
Frequent smoking of marijuana can lead to hormonal change
When you smoke weed too much. Instead of it helping to increase your testosterone levels, it slows it down. This means that the lower your testosterone, the lower the DHT in your body
In theory, that’s great – less testosterone means less DHT, which makes sense when you think about it theoretically since DHT triggers hair follicular responses that lead to hair loss.
However, what lower testosterone does in real life is to enable ill-health effects like infertility, fatigue, anxiety, depression, amongst others.
People have argued that the frequent use of marijuana can help support these ill-healths, and stabilize hormonal levels. These vary, depending on the human’s level of body tolerance.
Increased Food Appetite
You bet this is good, right? Eating the right food can cause improved beard growth. This should make everyone happy.
Smoking marijuana may not make your appetite for healthy food increase, rather it makes you seek junks food to eat. The increased food appetite effect caused by marijuana will make you go for sugary food and carbs, so you need to do more on yourself by intentionally going food like vegetables, fruits that will help supply your body with the much-needed vitamins and minerals that you need.
So, you see? While there are positives to take from smoking weed for beard growth, it will not work the same in all human body. Check yourself, does smoking marijuana help YOU improve your beard growth?
It is important that you also know that smoking marijuana means you are inhaling something that could affect your lungs right? Remember Cancer? Exercise the necessary care and caution. Okay?
While we have some evidence that shows that marijuana can assist in improving hair or beard growth, it is probably not the best way to grow your beard as there are other healthier ways to grow a beard.
Therefore, smoking pot solely for beard growth may not be ideal for you, considering other health implications that may arise from inhaling weed.
If you are using marijuana for health purpose like stress reduction then it is possible that you may have seen some improved hair or beard growth and an added effect.
